What hosting a trunk means

• Bring a vehicle. Haunt it. Cobwebs, tombstones, that inflatable you bought last year and never used.
• Arrive early or the ghosts take your spot. Cars roll onto the field before the gates open. The committee emails setup times as the night creeps closer.
• Hand out goodies from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Ninety minutes of tiny hands and enormous eyes. Bring more than you think you need.
• The judges are watching. They drift down the rows after dark, saying nothing. The best trunks take home prizes, and the prizes are a secret.
• Tell us what you need. Power for lights, a fog machine, a coffin that opens by itself. Ask here, not that night.
